Terms and Conditions for DPMS and Dartford Plumbing Mechanical Service

These Terms and Conditions are a legally binding agreement between Dartford Plumbing and Maintenance Services (DPMS) (“us”, “we”) and the customer (“you”) for the provision of plumbing and gas services, including subscription-based service plans and general plumbing services. By subscribing to any service plan or engaging our services, you agree to be bound by these Terms. Please read them carefully before proceeding.

1. Overview

These Terms govern the subscription-based plumbing service plans (Bronze Plan, Silver Plan, and Gold Plan) and general plumbing and gas services, including but not limited to installation, repair, servicing, and inspection of plumbing systems, fixtures, and appliances. All services will be performed in a professional and workmanlike manner by qualified technicians.

2. Subscription Service Plans and Features

2.1. Bronze Plan (£10/month or £108/year)

  • Annual Boiler Service (standard boiler service each year).

  • Emergency Callouts (same-day/next-day).

  • Labour Included (no hidden labour costs).

  • No Hidden Fees (no hidden call-out fees unlike other companies).

2.2. Silver Plan (£18/month or £195/year)

  • All features of the Bronze Plan.

  • Boiler Parts Covered (all parts covered except heat exchangers).

  • Priority Response Times (same day if reported by 12 PM).

2.3. Gold Plan (£25/month or £270/year)

  • All features of the Silver Plan.

  • Hot Water Cylinder Covered (yearly service with boiler service and breakdowns).

  • Controls (Thermostats, programmers, zone valves, etc.) Covered.

  • Same-day call-out (subject to conditions in Section 3).

2.4. Subscription Commitment

  • All plans require a 1-year commitment.

  • Early cancellation may incur termination fees equal to the remaining balance of the contract term.

3. Same-Day Call-Out Conditions (Silver and Gold Plans)

  • Available only for requests received before 12:00 PM (noon) on the same day.

  • Requests after 12:00 PM will be scheduled for the next available business day, subject to technician availability.

  • Call-Outs apply for Heating, Leaks, or any issues with mutual agreement.

4. Annual Plumbing Inspection

  • Included in all subscription plans and scheduled at a mutually convenient time.

  • Covers standard plumbing systems within the property but excludes repairs or parts unless specified in your plan.

5. Discounts on Parts

  • Not applicable under the Bronze, Silver, or Gold Plans as parts are either covered or excluded as specified.

6. Priority Response Time

  • Refers to scheduling priority over non-subscribers.

  • Response times may vary based on demand, location, and technician availability.

7. General Plumbing and Gas Services

7.1. Services Offered

  • Installation, repair, servicing, and inspection of plumbing systems, fixtures, and appliances.

  • All work performed by qualified technicians in a professional manner.

7.2. Scheduling and Appointments

  • Appointments can be scheduled by phone or email.

  • We strive to attend at the agreed time, but delays may occur due to traffic or other factors beyond our control.

7.3. Service Charges

  • Charges for labour, time, materials, and applicable taxes will be provided before work begins.

  • Verbal estimates are indicative only and may change. For a fixed quote, request an official quote via email before booking, which, once accepted, guarantees the price.

  • We are VAT-registered and must charge VAT on all invoices.

7.4. Payment Terms

  • Payment is due in full upon completion of services unless otherwise agreed in writing.

  • Accepted payment methods: cash, card, or invoice. Payments are not accepted over the phone.

8. Boiler Installation Cost Calculator Disclaimer

  • Provides an indicative price based on provided information.

  • Final costs may vary following a professional on-site assessment. We reserve the right to adjust prices after inspection.

9. Cancellations and Rescheduling

9.1. Subscription Plans

  • Cancellations within the 1-year commitment period incur a termination fee (remaining balance of the contract term).

  • No refunds for partial months of service.

  • Notify us at least 30 days prior to the desired cancellation date.

9.2. General Services

  • Notify us at least 24 hours in advance to cancel or reschedule an appointment.

  • Cancellations with less than 24 hours’ notice may incur a fee up to the full appointment cost.

10. Liability

  • We are not liable for damages caused by pre-existing conditions, misuse of plumbing systems, or failure to follow maintenance recommendations.

  • We are not liable for damage to property unrelated to the services provided or for consequential/indirect damages.

  • Services are provided “as is,” with no guarantee of uninterrupted or error-free service.

11. Customer Cooperation

  • Provide access to plumbing systems and areas requiring service.

  • Remove obstacles or debris that may obstruct our work.

12. Safety

  • Keep children and pets away from the work area during service for safety.

13. Parking

  • Engineers require parking within 5 meters of your property due to heavy tools and equipment.

  • Provide any required parking or visitor permits or parking tickets for spaces outside your property.

  • If an engineer receives a parking fine due to non-compliance, you are responsible for the full fine plus a £20 admin fee.

14. Privacy

  • We respect your privacy and will keep your personal information confidential.

15. Termination

  • We may terminate services if we encounter unforeseen safety hazards or if you fail to comply with these Terms.

16. Dispute Resolution

  • Disputes will be resolved through negotiation or, if necessary, arbitration in accordance with the laws of Great Britain.

17. Changes to Terms

  • We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time.

  • Changes will be posted on our website or communicated via email. Continued use of services constitutes acceptance of updated terms.

19. Finance Options with Kanda Finance

  • We are not party to the finance agreement between you and Kanda’s lenders. We do not receive or handle your finance payments, nor are we responsible for any issues arising from the finance agreement, including approval decisions, interest rates, or repayment terms.
